This August 2012 we had another fantastic group of kids from Israel up at Camp Timberlane. The thirty Israeli campers and their counselors who enjoyed the 2012 Camp Timberlane experience have returned home after an adventurous time in north
ern Ontario. Before they left for camp, seventeen families generously opened their homes to the children, billeting them in Toronto, while they explored some of Southern Ontario. They visited the CN Tower, Niagara Falls and Casa Loma as well as enjoying a host of activities including BBQs, a Pickle Barrel sponsored lunch, free bowling at Playtime Bowl and a sponsored shopping spreeat Roots. At Camp Timberlane, the children participated in all of the usual camp activities including watersports, arts & crafts, music and campfires. There were emotional moments of sharing with other campers, showing the children that they are not alone in their suffering. Best of all, there were friendships and bonds made with each other, which will last these children a lifetime.
